Constance Klein

As a psychotherapist with over twenty years of clinical experience I have repeatedly observed how life experiences and our beliefs about these experiences shape our lives. I am always encouraged and heartened by the strength and resilience of the human spirit as we encounter these various experiences. It is my privilege to guide and assist individuals, couples, and families as they overcome obstacles on their life paths.

My personal life experiences have certainly facilitated my understanding of various possible life issues my clients are encountering. Marriage, raising children, divorce, re-marriage, and being a participant in a blended family have provided a personal as well as a professional perspective.

I prefer to interact with my clients in a strength-forward and directive manner, being cognizant of their individual level of comfort. A significant aspect of my clinical practice includes identifying, educating, and facilitating the development of skills that allows these individuals to reduce their level of discomfort and pain associated with anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, crisis management, and chronic physical conditions. I find this work challenging and rewarding. I am honored to be part of the healing process of my clients.

My areas of specialty includes pre-marital, couples, family counseling, divorce, change of life issues, and multiple situations of loss or grief, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, stress management, chronic physical conditions, couple and stressors. I welcome adolescents struggling with their identity, adults encountering life stressors, and issues of advancing age, such as retirement, loss of health and confronting mortality. I have also extensive experience assisting emergency services personal by providing training and crisis intervention skills in addition to relationship counseling.
